As a thank you to San Diego County Residents, the San Diego Natural History Museum offers Residents' Free Tuesday on the first Tuesday of each month.
Note: Free admission is for San Diego City and County residents and active-duty military. ID required.
The giant-screen theater presentations are not included in Free Tuesday admission. Tickets for the Kaplan giant-screen theater are available for $5 per person at the Visitor Services Desks inside the Museum.
On Residents' Free Tuesday, please enter at the South (fountain) side of the building. All guests will exit at the North side of the building (near the fig tree).
The giant-screen theater is included with Passports to Balboa Park, Go San Diego Cards, General Admission tickets and for members of the San Diego Natural History Museum. Please present Passports to Balboa Park, Go San Diego Cards and Museum Membership cards at the Visitor Services Desks.
Admission to The Discovery of King Tut, is not included in Residents’ Free Tuesday. Residents of San Diego County may purchase tickets for The Discovery of King Tut at the discounted rate of $18 per adult, $16 per Senior (62+), $15 per Military/College Student (with ID), $12 per Youth (7-17), and $9 per Child (3-6). Discounted tickets are to be used on Residents’ Free Tuesday only and not future visits.

Strollers are not allowed in the San Diego Natural History Museum during *Residents' Free Tuesday. Park strollers in the designated area outside the North Entrance, near the large Moreton Bay Fig.
