Thank you to everyone who participated in the 2024 Christmas Bird Count in San Diego!
Your enthusiasm and dedication helped us to observe a record-breaking 230 species, surpassing last year’s total of 223.

There was a high number of Red-tailed Hawks and American White Pelicans, and even some exciting sightings of a Wood Duck and a Violet-green Swallow. The San Diego Natural History Museum and San Diego Bird Alliance are grateful for your commitment to community science and for making this cherished tradition a resounding success.
