Have you ever found yourself enjoying an exhibition but really in need of a bathroom? Have you ever wanted to see what happens behind the scenes here at theNAT? Have you ever wanted to see Ms. Frizzle outside of our Wacky Science Sunday shows? Well, we have some exciting news! We are launching a new mobile app called Wifarer at theNAT so you can do just that. Read more.
From helping you find what you need, to providing access to supplemental information and stories that bring the Museum to life, this exclusive, in-Museum experience offers a whole new way to explore theNAT.
With Wifarer at theNAT, users can travel through the Museum’s exhibitions and facilities with helpful wayfinding maps and navigation. The app also serves up location-aware multimedia content, such as videos and games, allowing guests to get the most out of their visit.
Wifarer is available as a free download on the iTunes App Store for iOS users and the Google Play Store for Android users.

We are also pleased to announce that through a generous gift from Las Patronas, the Museum now has a fleet of iPad minis that guests can check out, free of charge, to utilize Wifarer at theNAT during their visit. Be sure to stop by the Admissions Desk to check one out during your next visit and explore the wonderful content the app delivers.
This new digital technology has been made possible by The Legler Benbough Foundation, The Institute of Museum and Library Services, and The City of San Diego Commission for Arts and Culture.
