Sustainability Resources
The San Diego Natural History Museum is dedicated to forging a strong bond between people and nature because it is only through awareness, knowledge and concern that individuals become active stewards of the environment and its precious resources.
Our natural world is feeling growing pressure on its resources from the demands of an expanding population, habitat loss, air pollution, water pollution and the effects of a changing climate. People are at the root of these problems, and we believe people can provide the necessary solutions.
On these pages you will find links to lectures and programs we have hosted. Prominent scientists and various experts address sustainability issues ranging from human health to the fate of the world’s oceans. You will also find links to other events and organizations that share our vision and passion for ensuring a healthy environment and a rich diversity of life for generations to come.
