We encourage your group to visit the San Diego Natural History Museum for a day filled with exciting exploration and discovery. TheNAT is a flagship institution in Balboa Park featuring the regional natural history and unique biodiversity of southern California and Baja California.
Your group will receive special rates so you can conduct your own self-guided visit and enjoy the Museum’s exhibitions. Uncover Fossil Mysteries, investigate SKULLS, dive into Water: A California Story, and travel the region’s natural habitats as you explore Coast to Cactus in Southern California (opening January 2015).
TheNAT offers a variety of opportunities to enhance your group experience. For naturalists of all ages we offer docent-led tours, guided nature hikes with the Canyoneers, films in the giant screen theater, lectures, and our popular activity-filled Family Days.
Contact Paula Anderson in our group sales office at 619.255.0347 or firstname.lastname@example.org to book your visit today. Groups must consist of 10 or more visitors.
To add to your exploratory experience of your self-guided tour, check out our exhibition educator guides and our Museum-wide discovery scavenger hunt pages.
Add a discovery scavenger hunt to your troop’s Museum explorations. Download and print any of the activity sheets above and complete them with your scout group to earn a San Diego Natural History Museum patch.
Note: To purchase patches for your scout group, please add an additional $3 per patch to group pricing. Chaperone receives patches upon admission and is responsible for the distribution of patches.
