About Our Museum Jim Stone, Vice President of Public ProgramsJim Stone is the senior administrator responsible for Museum exhibitions, education programs, volunteers and the website. Mr. Stone has more than 25 years of operations and management experience in informal science learning organizations, including serving as the vice president of programs at the Mystic Aquarium and Institute for Exploration in Mystic, Connecticut. He has a B.S. in biology from Southern Connecticut State University and is a certificated high school teacher in biological sciences. Mr. Stone also published several articles about animal life and student learning in informal science education, including one of the first studies documenting the affective and cognitive changes in student learning when live animals are used in educational programs. |
